Not Impressed

Does it seem like all Jack & I do is take walks anymore? We are really getting some mileage out of his stroller these days! Today we headed to Memorial Park for a quick jaunt through the autumn leaves. We stopped to rest for a few minutes and I gave Jack a few leaves to play with. He liked thowing them back on the ground, over and over again. Other than that, he really didn't find the leaves to be all that scintillating. He much preferred to be on the go. He's more of a mover & a shaker!

Last Chance For Fall

We went for another walk today. The weather is definitely starting to winterize and we are trying to enjoy every last minute that we can before the snow comes. Jack, Daddy & I went to the park tonight while Cassady stayed home and practiced Independence. (It still seems weird to me that she can stay home alone...how did she get so old?!?) There were lots of people getting their pictures taken surrounded by the fall foliage, so of course I had to snap a few photos too. Peer pressure!

A Sunday Stroll

One of these days, the weather is going to turn nasty. To prepare ourselves for this unpleasant fate, we have been going to the park and spending as much time outdoors as possible. Today we walked on the Keystone Trail for a few miles, then frolicked on the playground. Jack had so much fun watching the trees sway in the breeze as we walked. He also enjoyed going on the slide & swinging with Daddy. We need to move somewhere warm before the cold weather hits so we can keep playing outside!

Sliders

This will probably come as a huge surprise, but we walked to the park again. It feels like summer out there today - too bad we can't get to the pumpkin patch today! Cassady took Jack for a spin on the slides. He loved it! He is getting very adventurous - when we first started going to the park, he refused to crawl around in the sand. Today I had to chase him all over the playground. Shades of what is to come, I am sure!

Sunday Funday

We headed off to the park again this morning to soak up some much needed Vitamin D. We also wanted to get our hands all messy in the sand. We climbed on the playground equipment and surveyed the neighborhood from up high. We then enjoyed the swing for a few minutes. Our favorite park activity, though, is definitely the sand. There was a little car toy someone else had left behind, so Jack played with it for a little bit. He was mostly interested in looking around at the park & feeling the sand. I was mostly interested in the opportunity to take pictures of Jack, but what else is new?!

Oh Boy! October!

We are having a streak of gorgeous weather this week - and Jack & I are milking it for all that it is worth! We went to the neighborhood park again this morning, where I took entirely too many pictures. Due to the amazing weather, there were lots of other kids at the park,so today we had to wait our turn for the swing. While we waited, Jack had a blast playing in the sand. He even found a little stick to hold. We played, we went on the swing and then we walked home. This time around, he waited until we had reached our door to fall asleep. Perfect timing, Jack!
